1. Re: Cluster diagnostics
ataylor Oct 2, 2009 7:04 AM (in response to skaffman)have you tried to see if the hornetq clustered examples work?

2. Re: Cluster diagnostics
skaffman Oct 2, 2009 7:07 AM (in response to skaffman)They do, yes, although the examples start up multiple nodes on a single machine, rather than multiple machines.
My situation involves bits from various examples, and something about what I'm doing is mis-configured. I'm not asking you all to fix it for me, I'm just asking what tools I use to find out what's going in Hornet's internal cluster. -
3. Re: Cluster diagnostics
ataylor Oct 2, 2009 7:15 AM (in response to skaffman)Ok, if you switch debug on, you should see some logging that verifies the nodes are connecting with each other.
If they arent it could be because UDP isn't working on your network, see http://www.jboss.org/community/wiki/RunningaHornetQclusterusingdiscoverydoesntwork
You could always try static connectors instead of discovery if this doesn't work. -
4. Re: Cluster diagnostics
timfox Oct 4, 2009 3:23 PM (in response to skaffman)We should add some management diagnostics which show data on the nodes in the cluster.
E.g. number of nodes in the cluster etc -
5. Re: Cluster diagnostics
skaffman Oct 5, 2009 4:52 AM (in response to skaffman)That would be extremely useful, yes.
