1. Re: SAML 1.1 Fix?
anil.saldhana Apr 25, 2012 4:16 PM (in response to aljacinto)Looks like at this time, we are adding the attributes in the SAML2AuthenticationHandler to the SAML assertion.
I do not think there is anything stopping anyone from writing a STS token provider that takes care of attributes also.
Looks like we have a JIRA issue for this: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/PLFED-187

2. Re: SAML 1.1 Fix?
aljacinto Apr 26, 2012 4:23 PM (in response to anil.saldhana)Is it possible to have just one common SAML provider instead of one for ws-trust and another for assertion? I'm just curious what's the difference of creating SAML for ws-trust and for assertion purposes. If they are the same, then we can use the same mechanism for creating attributes?

anil.saldhana Apr 26, 2012 5:02 PM (in response to aljacinto)The assertion providers create the assertion which gets used by IDP. The STS token providers have the ws-trust semantics spewed in them.
