goravuee Jan 23, 2012 6:58 AM (in response to ppitonak)this page http://www.coderanch.com/t/502627/JSF/java/rich-dropSupport-not-working
says There should be a seperate event bean for drop listener + the main bean scope should be set to "session" not request.
is it true? cant I have the dropLisnter in same bean ?

goravuee Jan 23, 2012 8:33 AM (in response to goravuee)few more things:-
drag Indicator not changing color on mouseover; have tested with acceptedTypes="@none" and set the style with red color. But when I place th emouse over drop target, color is not change dto red. Seems some basic stuffs not working or not set properly.Even I copied same example from richface showcase , drag drop didn't work.
I had included <f:view> and >h:form>

ppitonak Jan 23, 2012 9:42 AM (in response to goravuee)Hi Gaurav,
I've just tried to put drop listener to both view-scoped and request-scoped bean and it works fine.
Indicator changes colors as expected in my example. I just set following CSS classes:
.rf-ind { opacity: 0.5; height: 20px; width: 40px; border: 1px dotted red; background-color: blue } .rf-ind-acpt { background-color: green; } .rf-ind-rejt { background-color: red; }

Palo

afuentes Jan 25, 2012 5:49 AM (in response to ppitonak)Hi Pavol,
I have just prepared a single page with Drag and Drop, but I execute the code to verify that the problem remains and I realized that in this single version of my project is working properly. So, I have to revise the whole project and guess what is creating the problem.
Thanks a lot!!!
I'll tell you what I find.
Regards.

22. Re: RichFaces 4.1: dropListener is not working at drag and drop.
afuentes Jan 26, 2012 9:47 AM (in response to afuentes)Hi,
finally, I guess the problem after almost going myself cracy!
The problem is because of the javax.faces.PARTIAL_STATE_SAVING param
Be sure set it as true (by default is true)
<context-param>
<param-name>javax.faces.PARTIAL_STATE_SAVING</param-name>
<param-value>true</param-value>
</context-param>
If the param is set to false, the Richfaces Drag and Drop won't work!!!!

23. Re: RichFaces 4.1: dropListener is not working at drag and drop.
bwilly Apr 20, 2012 5:20 PM (in response to afuentes)I hav tried this and everything else in the post and cannot invoke the drop listener. Although, the page is posting to the server just fine on the drop event. Does anyone know if Rich 4.2.1.Final works with CDI?

24. Re: RichFaces 4.1: dropListener is not working at drag and drop.
bwilly Apr 23, 2012 1:54 PM (in response to bwilly)Rich Faces 4.2 treenode does not work with drag/drop (rich:dropTarget). The drop listener is never invoked. I have proven this by using the same drop target w/ a rich:panel rich:dragSource (not rich:treenode) and the drop works just fine.
