Can't remote access to my ear application in JBoss 7

I tried to deploy my ear application successfully. No errors during the startup with standalone sever.

But I can not access with http://my-server-name:8080/myapp

I tried to configure the following in standalone.xml, changing IP to 0.0.0.0. Now I can remote access admin console and http://my-server-name:8080, but still can not access http://my-server-name:8080/myapp

what did I miss? more configuration in standalone.xml?

Really you need to expand on what you mean by 'Can't access' - are you getting errors displayed anywhere? Either the browser, the JBoss console or the server.log?

Are you sure your app is deployed?  What is logged at the time of deployment?

What I mean by "can't remote access" is:

when I access http://my-server-name:8080/myapp, IE gives blanck page ("Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage")

When I "Diagnose Connection Problems" on IE, the result is:

The remote device or resource won't accept the connection Detected

The device or resource (127.0.0.1) is not set up to accept connections on port "The World Wide Web service (HTTP)".

Are you sure that http://my-server-name:8080 works from exactly the same browser?

If that is working is your web app performing any redirects that could be sending your browser to a different host name?

Yes,  http://my-server-name:8080 works fine. I can load jboss welocome page and access adminconsole.

But when I try  http://my-server-name:8080/myapp, it gives blank page (above).

I think this is going to require a network trace using a tool like Wireshark to understand what is happening when you attempt to connect to your application. 

Port 8080 will either be available or not availble - it is not going to be selectively available based on the context you are going to.  From your description the first thing I would be suspecting is some form of redirect on connecting to the web app and somehow the wrong address is being sent in the redirect which is why the browser subsequently can not connect.  A network trace will reveal exactly what is happening during the communication with the server.

I tried with some hello world WAR and it works. So you're right.

myapp redirects to a sso server for authentication. still not working yet.

But one more question: the configuration I have in standalone.xml works but is there a better way of doing this? what is the best practise for enabling remote access. Any security issue?
