1. Re: Create custom RichFaces component using Practical RichFaces 2nd edition
jhuska Jun 1, 2012 5:57 AM (in response to mkozeny)1 of 1 people found this helpfulHello Martin,
IMHO the reason for this error is providing just API not real implementation as it is described at this link:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/articles/java/unittesting-455385.html
(please search for the
javaee-web-api
in the text to find the solution)The sollution just copied from the link mentioned above:
"You should replace the Java EE 6 API classes by the application vendor implementation. For GlassFish v3.1, the most convenient way is to use the single dependency on the embedded container:"
Was that helpful for you ?

2. Re: Create custom RichFaces component using Practical RichFaces 2nd edition
mkozeny Jun 1, 2012 6:56 AM (in response to jhuska)Hello Juraj,
thanks for your reply. Yeah it really helped me, even if I am not using Maven 3 but 2. Now I have another problem, after running command mvn install for generating component class (UISpinner.java according to example) and other files, there is no component class. Files like faces-config.xml are generated, but no component.class:( I thought that it was due to that I declare no xml template for that component, but that was not the mistake.
Any ideas?:) Thanks.

3. Re: Create custom RichFaces component using Practical RichFaces 2nd edition
mkozeny Jun 1, 2012 8:19 AM (in response to mkozeny)My fault, it was due to bad version of RichFaces. I used 3.3.3.Final instead of 4.0.0. in maven pom.xml file.
