Change system properties during runtime

Hello,

I have some system properties that I need to change during runtime. I'm not quite sure but I get the feeling that this isn't possible without restarting the server, is it?

I used :write-attribute(name="value", value="4321") to write a new value to a system property. The response says "reload-required". Is there no way to change a system property during runtime without retarting the whole server? This would be really bad.

You would need to ":remove" and ":add" the system property with the new value. Although not required you can run the 2 operations as part of a batch in the CLI:

#  batch
#  /system-property=test:remove
#  /system-property=test:add(value=newValue)
#  run-batch

i have installed jboss-as-7.0.2.Final version,  i able to added system property through admin console , but not able modify or remove.

can you provide me any alternative for this issue??
