1. Re: Where to download the Minerva source code?
bruce Sep 21, 2001 12:58 AM (in response to bruce)I guess I should qualify my question a bit more. The 1.0b3 version was of the package structure org.opentools.* - that is what I was originally looking for.
Now it seems that Minerva is no longer a separate project but has been merged back into JBoss proper.
Thanks,

2. Re: Where to download the Minerva source code?
davidjencks Sep 21, 2001 4:45 PM (in response to bruce)I changed the manual last night to indicate the new package names ("new" as in 4-6 months old)-- I don't know how often the web site is updated. This stuff was moved into jbosspool and is in the org.jboss.pool.... package now.

3. Re: Where to download the Minerva source code?
ldodds Sep 24, 2001 10:14 AM (in response to bruce)But where is the source? I've just posted about this in the newbies forum.
I can't find the full source for org.jboss.pool.* despite getting the source distribution, the nightly source snapshot, and browsing the CVS online, I still can't find the full source for org.jboss.pool.*
What am I missing?
Thanks. L. -
4. Re: Where to download the Minerva source code?
bruce Sep 24, 2001 11:44 AM (in response to bruce)I should have posted this sooner because I discovered it very late on the night of my first post about this topic. Since that night, I've been busy with other stuff. Sorry for the delay.
I located the new source here: http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/jboss/jbosspool/src/main/org/jboss/pool/
However, the old source from the org.opentools.* package structure is here:
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/jboss/jboss/src/main/org/jboss/minerva/
This old source location was changed about seven months ago by Aaron Mulder, the original author and maintainer of Minerva. The problem with grabbing that source is that it doesn't seem to be available via any tag. The notes even indicate, "Replacing Minerva code with a JAR. It will be maintained externally from now on. See src/lib/minerva-1_0b3.jar." This is the jar that I have and I was looking for its source. It appears that the source for this particular jar cannot be had from anywhere. I've also noticed that Minerva itself has been *drastically* changed since this jar was posted (e.g. filenames, package structure, functionality, etc.).
I was specifically looking for the org.opentools.* source.
Bueller?... Bueller?
Again, I apologize for my delay in posting this info.

5. Re: Where to download the Minerva source code?
davidjencks Sep 24, 2001 10:05 PM (in response to bruce)The Minerva source package is at
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/jboss/jbosscx/src/external/Attic/
and probably outside the attic if you can figure out the right branch to look in.
The nightly source snapshot is of 3.0 I believe and most of the org.jboss.pool code is not in 3.0 or is elsewhere. Get the 2.4 code for a 2.4 question. -
6. Re: Where to download the Minerva source code?
ldodds Sep 25, 2001 5:17 AM (in response to bruce)I did get the 2.4 source code, and its not in there.
I found the code in the Attic, and managed to get my application running successfully.
Thanks for your help.
