Modeling external resources; create nested platform?

I have external resources (hardware) that can't run the RHQ agent software. So I do my monitoring from another machine.

Is there a way to create a platform resource inside a platform? I guess I wonder the best way to model this sort of thing. I'd ideally like the hardware to show up in the Platform list.
