remove-table is false, still deletes tables

I'm using JBoss 2.4.1. I've set both create-table and remove-table to false in my jaws.xml file yet the my tables are still being deleted after shutting down (undeployment). I know that my jaws.xml entries are being found and used, as previously create-table was true and the tables were being created. Any ideas?

I got the same problem using interbase. I have no clue what is going wrong here...
