suggestbox not poping up with empty list

i am using richfaces 3.3.3

is there a way to prevent the suggest box from poping up if there is no entry in the suggestion list?

for me it seems more user friendly to only pop up if there are suggestions.

Please check for  size validation or 1Empty checking to display the suggesionBox.

you mean some javascript code in the "oncomplete" attribute?

how can i get the size of the list? and how can i prevent from poping up? with "return false" in oncomplete?

nothingLabel="No capitals found"

i think you misunderstood me.

the "nothingLabel" workfs fine.

but i don't want the "nothinglabel" to appear.

if there are no  suggestions, nothing should happen.

Ok fine .Yes u are correct.Please try below steps.I think it will be helpful to get some solution for your problem.

Try look in Objects usage example in the link i have shared previously.(type z and check and debug)

OR

try giving the nothingLabel=""

OR

Check in your back end bean Arraylist size,if it is 0 means add some text to the variable like displayFlag ="Show"

and use rendered attribute in the screen to display the list.(I think list will be like datatable or some frame withh be there.)
