jbpm console issue, human task dont complete.

Hi,

As all know human task service in 5.3 release has some sirious issues. There seems to be fix possible described by maciejs in this thread https://community.jboss.org/thread/200361?tstart=0

I choose the solution to use the latest ht service from 5.4 build available on hudson: https://hudson.jboss.org/hudson/job/jBPM/

Unfortunately I still have some issues. The problem is that when I complete human task with ftl form in jbpm-console the process doesnt proceed to next node like if it hangs there.

any ideas how to fix? Is this caused by incompatibility between 5.3 installer and 5.4 human task service?

Please publish something that make jbpm-console human tasks work. I really don't know how is possible that the 5.3 version was released with this problem.

You will have to wait till official 5.4.0.Final release in few months. Atm installer from latest hudson release isn't even starting up, deployments fail.

Atm best You can do now is to study 5.3 docs, study API and think of hints for developers what things they can change or make better. Like wishlist:) Things like features You would frequently use in engine, jbpm-console, human task service etc. And put them on jira for dev team considerations.

We all hope to get some real fix for that asap.

excuse me but i have to do a software with the tool and can't wait few months. Please tell me at this moment if its possible at all to build a workflow application wiht human tasks using jbpm tool.

Issues with HT and console were fixed, you would need to build jBPM master.

I've made an article how to build but it seems to change rapidly:D

Here is an update but I'm not 100% Is it works:D

1) install git

2) git clone https://github.com/bpmc/bpm-console.git

3) mvn clean install -U  -Dfull -DskipTests

5) git clone https://github.com/droolsjbpm/jbpm.git

6) mvn clean install -U -Dfull -DskipTests

7) git clone https://github.com/droolsjbpm/jbpm-form-builder

8) mvn clean install -U -Dfull -DskipTests

9) take installer You just built and extract it somewhere, $installer-dir$

10) put form builder and console wars to lib dir in $installer-dir$

11) in $installer-dir$ run:

ant clean.demo

ant install.demo (or ant install.demo.noeclipse if you dont want eclipse)

ant start.demo (or ant start.demo.noeclipse if you dont want eclipse)

tell me if it worked:D If Your connection isnt very good its better to use *.noeclipse version

please i need to download all from one time. I have a very limited connection and i need a place where i can download all from one time and then build the code in my computer. I cant' connect from and ide to the repository.

Please help me i need to use the tool as soon as possible.

Right now you are kind of stuck with building from source until we release a 5.3.1.Final. Given the severity of this issue I assume we will do thia soon. Will get back when know more details on a release date.

I have a problem, and it looks like is related to this...

I don't use the jbpm console, but in my app I've started a very simply workflow

Start-------> Human Task ----------> End

I've completed the human task (status = completed), and the workflow did not end. It was supposed to end, right? It's related to this issue?

There will be any release before 5.4?
