A uqestion about starting the standalone locally but with the IP-address

Hi all,

I installed the Jboss AS on my local Windows. I can start it successfully with standalone.bat and can open the "Administration Console". Since my local machine has it's own ip-address, assumed 123.234.345.456. Now I start the Jboss Jboss again with

standalone.bat -b 123.234.345.456 -bmanagement 123.234.345.456

Though I can start the Jboss successfully, but I can't open the "Administration Console". Someone has idea?

i think you need to change management ip too in standalone.xml file since console works by default at localhost:

<interfaces>

        <interface name="management">

            <inet-address value="${jboss.bind.address.management:123.234.345.456}"/>

        </interface>

        <interface name="public">

            <inet-address value="${jboss.bind.address:123.234.345.456}"/>

        </interface>

</interfaces>

Hi,

I think your method is the same as mein since one can either configure the ip in the standalone.xml or use the so-called -b option to bind the parameter. This is even the better way since you don't need to change the file.
