JBoss and Active Directory

Hello all,

I am new to JBoss, I've been doing some searching around, and have just gone around in circles.  Hopefully somebody out there will know the right direction to head.  I need to integrate JBoss, running on an Ubuntu server, with Active Directory.  Can this be done?  Is this an out of the box type feature that just needs to be configured?  Is there a module or plugin that will allow this feature?  Can the user's username be accessed in the code running on the web server?

Thanks for the links, I'll give them a try today.  Will that kind of setup allow for a seamless sign on type of login?  So if the user is using internet explorer or firefox the authentication can be done automatically and I can get the user's name in my Java code and just bypass the login screen?
