Deployment failure due to web-app element

Getting below error while deployng ejb2 in jboss6.0

Hi Saurabh,

The error syas there is some issue with your web.xml, see the line below (web.xml@184,13, at line number 184).

Caused by: org.jboss.xb.binding.JBossXBException: Failed to parse source: vfs:///C:/jboss-6.0.0.Final/server/default/deploy/SealinerRCL.ear/SealinerRCL.war/WEB-INF/web.xml@184,13.

Are you using eclipse for development? If not, use an IDE like Eclipse which can validate the xml for any errors.

Hi,

Do you have a persistence.xml file?

If yes, make sure that the header is this one

<persistence xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence"

             xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"

             xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence/persistence_2_0.xsd"

             version="2.0">

Also, in the jboss.xml file make sure that the

<local-jndi-name> precedes the <configuration-name> so an example is this one

<entity>

      <ejb-name>ExampleEJB</ejb-name>

      <local-jndi-name>bla/ejb/ExampleEJB</local-jndi-name>

      <configuration-name>CMP 2.x and Cache</configuration-name>

    </entity>
