Hotdeploy in CDI as in Seam2?

I loved the way a Seam 2 project was able to replace certain java code by using a special src folder and class loader.

But how can I use the same mechanism with a JEE6/CDI project and JBoss 7?

No such mechanism atm.

But AS7 does re-deploy in less than a few sec,

so imo not as needed as in the early CDI days.

Are there similar or other opinions about the need of code replacements with modern containers?
