Can I configure the JGroups stack to use TUNNEL?

Looking at the protocols supported by the JGroups subsystem it looks like only UDP and TCP transports are supported.

Is there a fundemental reason why TUNNEL is not currently supported?

What would be involved in adding support for TUNNEL?

The JGroups subsystem supports any JGroups protocol, including TUNNEL.

e.g.

<protocol type="TUNNEL">

   <property name="gossip_router_hosts">...</property>

</protocol>

If you're referring to the org.jboss.as.clustering.jgroups.subsystem.Protocol enum, please disregard this - it is not actually used and will be removed in the next release.

You're right though - I was looking at the enums and was confused as I couldn't see where they got used.
