Unable to call any action from region rendered by ajax, first time only

The behavior is well described in https://issues.jboss.org/browse/SEAM-97

Essentially any first call to back bean fails when invoked from part of the page rendered by previous ajax call. This is true for any ajax and non-ajax subsequent calls. Next attempts works fine.

I tried with many JSF and richfaces elements, all react the same.

Any clue or workaround ?

Based on what you've said and the bug, I can't tell if this is a JSF (Mojarra) bug or something else. Could you do some more research and determine if it's a Seam bug or a Mojarra bug please?

I tried witth AS 7.1 and Mojarra 2.1.7, no changes.

Looks like someone will have to dig and debug through this to see where the real problem is. I may not have time soon as I'm being pulled in multiple directions, Richard, if you are able to do some of the legwork for this I would greatly appreciated it.

It appears to be a JSF bug. The work around is to use one form only.
