1. Re: JDK7 Support?
chavarao Aug 18, 2012 9:54 AM (in response to riversidecoder)yes, we are looking for jdk7 support.
Also, If we use Infinispan hot rod server and client . can we have client using Java 7 and server running Java 6 vice versa.
Thanks.

galder.zamarreno Aug 20, 2012 12:35 PM (in response to chavarao)We're baselined on JDK6, so I'm pretty sure JDK7 should not be a problem.
I'm aware that our QE team are running tests with JDK7 for JBoss Data Grid product version:

3. Re: JDK7 Support?
chavarao Aug 20, 2012 8:08 PM (in response to galder.zamarreno)When we upgrade Java on client side to newer version in future without upgrading infinispan server , should there any serialization issues?
This will be harder to upgrade all clients and sever at the same time?
Thanks

mircea.markus Aug 20, 2012 9:08 PM (in response to chavarao)I take it you're using the HotRod client then?
If so, before adding your objects to the cache we serialize them (by default) using a JBossMarshalling[1] serializer[2]. Basically the server is only aware of byte[], the client doing the serialization, so you're safe.

6. Re: JDK7 Support?
riversidecoder Dec 17, 2012 3:37 PM (in response to riversidecoder)Thought I'd check in again on my own thread. 2013 is almost upon us as is the FEB 2012 JDK 6 EOL. What's the status of JDK7 support for Infinispan?
