4. Re: Is allowFlash attribute is not supported in richfaces 4.2?
fjkjava Aug 29, 2012 12:35 PM (in response to healeyb)Thanks for the reply. I have to move to primefaces for that otherwise users will start crying.

5. Re: Is allowFlash attribute is not supported in richfaces 4.2?
healeyb Aug 29, 2012 1:27 PM (in response to fjkjava)Sounds like a lot of work, what exactly did allowFlash do anyway? I tried it on the RF3 demo site and couldn't
see any difference with it turned on and off.

7. Re: Is allowFlash attribute is not supported in richfaces 4.2?
healeyb Aug 29, 2012 4:10 PM (in response to fjkjava)> allowFlash=true allows user to select multiple files during upload. It's not exactly obvious is it!
Take a look at the RF4 showcase http://showcase.richfaces.org/richfaces/component-sample.jsf?demo=fileUpload&skin=blueSky
I'm not sure that you can't still do this, maybe it's just the default now. There's a maxFilesQuantity which
suggests that you can certainly load multiple files, and the showcase backs this up. Why on earth was the
attribute called allowFlash?
I've always used tomahawk file upload because I've never been able to get a component library file upload to
work with the way I used to use container security, but maybe now I'm doing things in a different way I'll take
another look at it.
Regards,
Brendan.

8. Re: Is allowFlash attribute is not supported in richfaces 4.2?
fjkjava Aug 29, 2012 4:30 PM (in response to healeyb)I can select only one file from the file upload dialog. Even with ctrl / Shift I cannot select multiple files.
My application was working fine using ricfaces 3.3 now we are migrating that to 4.2.

9. Re: Is allowFlash attribute is not supported in richfaces 4.2?
strannik Aug 30, 2012 4:15 PM (in response to fjkjava)That concerns me as well
Now I have to manually add files one-per-one and then upload them. In 3.3 there was wonderful feature to use flash upload.

10. Re: Is allowFlash attribute is not supported in richfaces 4.2?
fjkjava Aug 30, 2012 5:40 PM (in response to strannik)You can use primefaces file upload that works except in IE. I am using that now becase sometimes user may have to upload 50 or more files. They will kik me if I told them to click and select 50 times.

12. Re: Is allowFlash attribute is not supported in richfaces 4.2?
strannik Aug 31, 2012 3:43 AM (in response to healeyb)Thank you, Fabian.
Is it easily enough to integrate PrimeFaces and RF? What about performance?

13. Re: Is allowFlash attribute is not supported in richfaces 4.2?
fjkjava Aug 31, 2012 11:38 AM (in response to strannik)So far I did not see any compatibility issues. Performance, I did not see any major changes but the application is still in development so will update about that later.
Thanks
