how to update Local Repository (From merged user and global setting) affer moving repository

I moved my maven repository but don't see how to change the Local Repository (From merged user and global setting) setting to point to the new setting.

I'm using version 5.0.1. How do you get that changed.

Is Preferences > Maven > Maven Settings - Click on "Update settings" what you are looking for ?

Note, a restart of eclipse should also pick these up...m2e don't monitor the config file for changes all the time.

I changed the path in the user settings and clicked on the update settings button, then restarted.

The  Local Repository (From merged user and global setting) still has the old setting.

I'm doing this on an windows installation so the Local Repository (From merged user and global setting)

says something like C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxx\.m2\repository.

I figured it out, there was a typo in the maven settings.xml file.
