1. Re: Richfaces 4 configuration problems.
jhuska Oct 8, 2012 5:47 AM (in response to jbarcelona)Hi Juan,
good to hear that you want to work with RichFaces community. To your questions:
- firstly I would recommend you to use Eclipse Indigo together with JBoss tools, as JBoss Tools for Juno are still in Alpha phase
- you should be fine for the start with the generated web.xml, it contains everything it needs
- then try to create a facelet index.xhtml https://github.com/jhuska/richfaces-sanbox/blob/master/src/main/webapp/index.xhtml, and its template https://github.com/jhuska/richfaces-sanbox/blob/master/src/main/webapp/templates/template.xhtml, replace the used components as you wish
- we aware of using RichFaces 4 components, as you mentioned that you tried rich:map, which is not part of RichFaces 4
Feel free to ask any more questions.

jbarcelona Oct 9, 2012 7:09 AM (in response to jhuska)Hi Juraj,
I've changed Eclipse Juno and now I'm working with Indigo + JBoss tools.
Then I've used your facelet index.xhtml (and it's template) and if I deploy the index.xhtml appears:
(I think that hotKey and inputNumber Spinner didn't render ok)
I've deployed another code:
appearing correct in the preview:
and result the next error:
I think that is a little think that I'm not taking into account.
thanks!!!!!

3. Re: Richfaces 4 configuration problems.
jhuska Oct 9, 2012 8:27 AM (in response to jbarcelona)You just need to enclose <rich:tabPanel> with <h:form> tag as it was done in previous example:
https://github.com/jhuska/richfaces-sanbox/blob/master/src/main/webapp/index.xhtml#L15

4. Re: Richfaces 4 configuration problems.
jbarcelona Oct 10, 2012 4:08 AM (in response to jhuska)It's running perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!
let me do you the last question about the welcome file. I have index.xhtml in Web Content and referenced in web.xml as:
warning: filename references to index.xhtml that is not a page file.
So the question is that when the project will finish, must I run on a server clicking right mouse button on index or run on a server from a root whole project??
THANK YOU VERY MUCH

5. Re: Richfaces 4 configuration problems.
jhuska Oct 12, 2012 6:55 AM (in response to jbarcelona)Hi Juan,
I am sorry but I really do not understand your question. Could you please reformulate it in some way ?
The welcome-file-list reference can be found here:
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E13222_01/wls/docs81/webapp/web_xml.html#1026980
It is used in short for declaring what page will be loaded when you access directory by URL. So for example when you load http://localhost:8080/contextRootOfApp then the index.xhtml should be loaded.

6. Re: Richfaces 4 configuration problems.
jbarcelona Oct 23, 2012 5:03 AM (in response to jhuska)Juraj, sorry to didn't answer. I was travelling...
I'll try to explain in other way. I've index.xhtml in web content and appears the warning that "filenames references to index.xhtml that is not a page file". Then if I try to access by URL appears a 404 error even the file is in webContent.
Thanksssss
P.S. I've been working a lot leaving this problem parked and my app begins to has face XD
