Creating Multiple Instance in a single Jboss as 7.1 Server

Can u pls help me to create more instances in a single Jboss server along with the startup scripts. I'm using Jboss as 7.1.1 Final in RHEL.

I need to migrate my 4.2 Jboss instances to 7.1.x server. Any link and Guidence will be appriciated.

I think that you could use the JBoss7 in mode domain.

The mode of type domain is a news feature of Jboss7.

In Jboss 4.2.X we can create different instances and write the port configuration for each instances in sample bindings.xml

In the later version how the configurations has been changed? I mean what and where need to be configured those port configrations in 7.1 version. ????

You should read the documentation here https://docs.jboss.org/author/display/AS72/Interfaces+and+ports

All the configuration is in one/two file(s), depend how you start. It is very simple.

You might let the configuration without change in 'standalone' mode and add '-Djboss.socket.binding.port-offset=<a num value>' to add an offset to all ports, a chunk of 100 seems ok.

If your problem is alone management of the ports  you can modify this string

<socket-binding-group name="standard-sockets" default-interface="public" port-offset="${jboss.socket.binding.port-offset:0}" 

Or you can modify the start script as suggest Wolf-Dieter Fink

'-Djboss.socket.binding.port-offset
