No errors but MySQL reporting rollback on every JDBC call

This is occuring on a build from recent code (taken this evening). I don't know how long this has been a problem because I was previously on the old alpha code from the website download.

Every JDBC call ends with a rollback. There are no errors reporting a transaction problem or other kind of problem in the debug logs for JBoss.

What could this be?
