Access SAML-Attributes in EJB

I wonder how can I access SAML-Attributes inside an EJB if I want to do something like "Claim Based Autorization". I assume there is no "standard-way" as in .NET. But how could I do it with PicketLink. Can I access the PicketLinkPrincipal?
