SQL Query Interface to Combined View of Relational and Non-Relational Sources

I have a customer requirement to combine a relational data source , web service source and an Open DTP connector source into a relational view. The requirement is also to provide the application access using standard SQL calls that return SQL result sets and not in XML format. I have done some experimenting with Teeid designer 7.2 and have not found a way to do this.  Any suggestions?

Yes, that is exactly what Teiid does. I suggest you start with Quick Starts in Teiid and Teiid Designer and see how this can be done. https://www.jboss.org/teiiddesigner/downloads/examples

The customer requirement is to support SQL calls such as "Select" to access a view that includes non relational soruces. . For example they want to be able to use semantices such as suggested in the JBDC example (SQL X) but for soruces such as a web service. .

Yes, Steve I understand. Teiid can do that. Did you see the StateServiceExampleFull.zip ?

Yes I looked at that example - the test program use a prcoedural call "exec.getStateInf() - Are you suggest that the java class should return a SQL result object and the app do something like "select * from exec.getInfo()

Note that we have done numerous UI improvement in the Designer to avoid lot of manual parts in the example. But it should give you a good idea as to how Teiid works.
