How can I create a custom Query?

Hi;

Im new in EJB i want to create a custom query in one system with differents beans, one of this beans has a dependent Object where i store the contact information, i want to make a query that show me different instances that make true differents combination of atributes.

I think i can do it with EJBQl, but i don´t know how.

I have the book, but i dont know if Jboss 2.4 support EJB-ql, I suppose yes.

EJB-QL is only supported in jboss 3.0
