Are InstantDB and DefaultDS internally used by JBoss?

Hi

I reconfigured jboss.jcml so that JBoss doesn't start InstantDB, Hypersonic, DefaultDS and BlackboxDS.

But someone at work told me that JBoss might be using InstantDB internally for storing passivated stateful session beans.

Is it true or can i safely remove those databases from the configuration?

Yep you can remove them. JBoss 3.0 doesn't even include InstantDB anymore. If you are using something that wants a datasource, like entity beans, DefaultDS is the default, but you can always override this.
