Is it the machine hostname that you want to send in the mail or is it the name of the server configuration like "default" "all" etc... If it's the latter then i don't see how IP address would come into picture.

Yes. This statement on the individual server nodes will give you the infoSystem.getProperty("jboss.server.name");
