You simply need to make sure that each durable subscriber identifies itself with a unique client ID. See http://docs.oracle.com/javaee/6/api/javax/jms/Session.html#createDurableSubscriber(javax.jms.Topic, java.lang.String).

ThankQ Justin for your response...your answer has indeed helped me to explore..... but i have struck up one point....where when the subsriber is in listening mode....i restarted the server...it showed me
WARNING: Connection failure has been detected: The connection was disconnected because of server shutdown [code=4] and the subscriber is in active mode...but failed to get the msgs from the server...he is able to get the msgs only after the re-run of the program...so can you help me out in this...
