max-xa-sessions-per-connection - is it works for slow consume ?

Hello!

I'm having problems, sometimes, to consume a queue. When I use receive(), it's taking between 10 and 15 seconds to consume. I found the link below and I would like to know if can help me and is a good practise. Follow the link with my code: https://community.jboss.org/thread/213816?tstart=0

I change to <property name="max-xa-sessions-per-connection" value="50" />
