1. Re: Problem with Message Grouping Handler inside cluster (HornetQ 2.2.16)
crytek Nov 28, 2012 8:23 AM (in response to crytek)The AS I've tried to use, was Jboss AS 7.1.2.
I've also tried with Jboss AS 7.2.0 Alpha1 nightly build, but in this case, another error is displayed:
15:18:14,521 ERROR [org.jboss.as.controller.management-operation] (ServerService Thread Pool -- 52) JBAS014613: Operation ("add") failed - address: ([
("subsystem" => "messaging"),
("hornetq-server" => "default"),
("grouping-handler" => "group-handler-test")
]) - failure description: "JBAS011637: A child resource of type grouping-handler already exists; the messaging subsystem only allows a single resource of type grouping-handler"

I can not reproduce with AS 7.1.2. using the config
<grouping-handler name="my-grouping-handler">
<type>REMOTE</type>
<address>jms</address>
<timeout>5000</timeout>
</grouping-handler>
The grouping-handler is added as expected. From the exception you had, it seems that the type parameter was not defined. Could you double check your XML (or attach it and I'll have a look)

This means that you added 2 grouping-handlers to the hornetq-server while only 1 is allowed. Could you check if that's the case in your XML?

3. Re: Problem with Message Grouping Handler inside cluster (HornetQ 2.2.16)
crytek Nov 28, 2012 10:14 AM (in response to jmesnil)Hello,
I've triple checked. Maybe I'm missing something.
I've attached the XML config files for both nodes inside the cluster.

4. Re: Problem with Message Grouping Handler inside cluster (HornetQ 2.2.16)
jmesnil Nov 29, 2012 3:54 AM (in response to crytek)I've been able to reproduce the erros on both AS7 7.1 and AS 7.2 branches
The error for AS7 7.2 is harmless[1], the grouping-handler you have configured is taken into account.
The error for AS7 7.1 looks like a real bug and I'll fix it.
thanks for the reports.

Actually, the bug is in AS7 7.1.2.Final but no longer occurs in 7.1.3.Final and 7.1 branch.
