JBoss 7 EAP versions

Hi.

There are some discussions about the EAP vs. Community versions of JBoss lately, but I can't find a concrete answer to the question:

Can I use an EAP version, e.g. 7.1.3 final, downloaded from git via tag, build by myself, in a commercial production environment without paying a free?

Assuming I need no support/SLAs for it...

Yes, the source under the same license the whole time (LGPL), a tag is just a marker at a specific point in the commit history.

Just for clarification.

community tags are not exactly the same as EAP products they are based on.

they are close, but you should not equate them

in short EAP = community tag + extra patches + productivization process
