Error Deployment : Too many open files (JBoss AS 7.0.2)

Dear All,

I tried to deploy several wars (about 50). Each war deployed to virtual server. I had 50 virtual server in my standalone.xml.

I tried to deploy from management console and also copied directly to deployment wars.

Both ways give the same error. Too many open files.

I've tried to increase file limitation. But it not work.

Is there something wrong with my configurations? I'm using centos 6.2.

It might be a 'ulimit' issue, you might deploy one war after the other and see whether the number is increased after increasing the ulimit.

Also it can be a kernel restriction and you need to change the config here and may restart the system.

Yes it's true ulimit issue.

I've solved the problem by increasing user level fd limit in /etc/security/limits.conf

jboss soft 10240

jboss hard 10240

Which jboss is user that running jboss application server.

My last mistake only increase file descriptor but not for user.
