eventing between pages

Hi,

We are facing the same problem as the following post (How to send event to another page?)

So far I have seen many likely solutions :

I understand there is no solution for this even though other portal vendors have made some effort via extension mechanism or "cross-wire-page".

What is the official JBoss work-around for this situation?
