JBoss Migration from 4.2.3 to 7 - JCA

Hi,

I am trying to migrate from Jboss 4 to 7. Im using the ff resource adapter from 4: In my ra.xml I am still using:

<resourceadapter-class>org.jboss.resource.deployment.DummyResourceAdapter</resourceadapter-class>

DummyResourceAdapter -I dont think -exists anymore in JBoss7 . In order to deploy in Jboss 7, I have to use and include jboss-jca.jar from JBoss4.  It deploys ok but when I am trying to make a connection it fails. Could it be because Im still using the old resource adapter?

What happens if you dont  implement/include your own ResourceAdapter in the RAR - what does it default to and is this advisable if you dont need to implement any special behavior? Thanks!

It defaults to nothing. You don't need it if you

• Don't need global configuration properties
• Don't need to support inflow
• Don't need ResourceAdapterAssociation

Thank you! But you could still use the  <resource-adapter>..<config-property> in standalone.xml.
