connnect to Oracle 8i

Hi,

I don't understand what I have to do to configure my resource adaptors for JBoss2.4.4_Tomcat4.0.1.
In the documentation, you write about a oracle-service.xml
but after you say that it doesn't work with a 2.X jboss version. So the only configuration I've to do is to configure my jboss.jcml file ????

Please help me !

When you buy the documentation there's a working example with all the config. files etc.
I just copied that and tweaked it for my config.

It does Oracle 7 and 8

Hi,

I'm having the same problem with Orcale 8i.

I've configured my jboss.jcml similar to yours, but it doesn't seem to be enough.

Do I also need to modify jboss.conf and/or run.bat, or any of the other config files?

I'm getting a lot of ClassDefNotFound exceptions at startup

It looks right to me. Try fiddling arround with it. Check the spelling, field-names etc.

just to make sure ...
you must put the oracle jdbc driver package ( classes.zip ) into the jboss/lib/ext directory
