If I find a way to reproduce it  I can debug it. Still not able to reproduce it now :-(

Ok, i thought youi said you restarted the server and still saw the 351 messages, if this was the case you could just restart the server and debug?

if the page file is 0 then there are noe paged messages.

All i can suggest is if you see this happen again take a copy of the journal

we are currently running jboss 6.1.0_final with hornetq 2.2.5_final.

Can we replace the hornet version 2.2.5 by the 2.2.14 final version just by replacing the hornetq jars from the 2.2.14 distribution??? 

I just did that and on first sight everything still seems to work .

This is what I did:

copied Hornetq-bootstrap

            Hornetq-core

            Hornetq-jboss-as-integration

           Hornetq-jms

            Hornetq-logging

over the existing jars  in <jboss_home>/common/lib

copied Hornetq-core-client

          Hornetq-jms-client

over the existing jars  in <jboss_home>/client

I did not copy/replace any other jar that is shipped with 2.2.14.
