Limit query return size

Is there any way to limit the number of results returned by a finder method?
For instance if there are 500 clients and I only want to return the first 100, how would I do this? Does JBoss have a facility for this?
I want to try and do this using CMP rather than manually coding the selection of the top 100 records.
