start seam examples

Hello,

could someone help me with the seam examples? I dont know how i get them to work.

My steps so far:

- installation of Jboss developer studio

- download and  configuration of jboss 7.1. runtime server

- download an unpacking of seam 3.1.0

now i tried to install the maven projects in seam-3.1.0.Final\examples\ but i've got a bunch of dependency errors. I assume  its a configuration problem but the manual isn helpful in that point.

What is the best practice?

is it possible to use seam 3 without maven? I would be pleased to have some ready jar files instead of this odd maven building stuff.

You'd have to mannually find all the jars and bring them in. Based on feedback in Seam 2 there were many people wanting Maven integration, so we went with Maven for Seam 3.

it may be more a maven question than a seam question:

what do i have to do with the seam artifacts so maven can use it? Do i have to configure the path to seam3 somewhere?

Did you install maven [1] ?

If you have maven installed - then you can try running "mvn clean install"  in one of the examples folder  like "seam-booking" - you can check the corresponding README here : https://github.com/seam/examples/tree/master/booking

jboss dev studio comes along with a maven plugin. A maven repo is created as well.
