Problems with JBoss Developer Studio

Hi Guys.

Im trying to install the Switchyard at my JBDS, and in the first step I just get problems.

Im running on Windows 7, 64. My JBDS is the

JBoss Developer Studio

Version: 6.0.0.GA

Build id: GA-v20121206-1855-B186

Build date: 20121206-1855

and my switchyard version is the:

switchyard-site-assembly-0.7.0.Final.zip!/

.....

When I try to install i get this message:

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.

  Software being installed: SwitchYard Tools 0.7.0.v20130109-0353-H243-CI (org.switchyard.tools.feature.feature.group 0.7.0.v20130109-0353-H243-CI)

  Missing requirement: SwitchYard Tools UI 0.7.0.v20130109-0353-H243-CI (org.switchyard.tools.ui 0.7.0.v20130109-0353-H243-CI) requires 'bundle org.eclipse.emf.validation 0.0.0' but it could not be found

  Cannot satisfy dependency:

    From: SwitchYard Tools 0.7.0.v20130109-0353-H243-CI (org.switchyard.tools.feature.feature.group 0.7.0.v20130109-0353-H243-CI)

    To: org.switchyard.tools.ui [0.7.0.v20130109-0353-H243-CI]

Hey Fernando,

Have you followed the instructions here:  https://docs.jboss.org/author/display/SWITCHYARD/Installing+Eclipse+Tooling

There are a couple of extra update sites that need to be configured in order to resolve extra dependencies required by SwitchYard.

Hey Fernando,

Are you installing on JBDS 6?

Note, you don't need to install those components, you just need to add them to the list of available software sites.  When you go to install SwitchYard, all you need to do is pick the SY features and install.  Eclipse will be able to resolve any extra dependencies from the sites you added.

Hey Fernando,

Sorry it's taken me a while to get back to you.  I suspect you are trying to install the BPMN2 editor, in addition to SwitchYard.  To do this, I had to add the following update sites to my install/update preferences:

• http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/emf/updates/releases/
• http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/ocl/updates/
