Read-Through feature of Infinispan, compared to Oracle Coherence

I don't have practical experience with Infinispan, but I've been reading the documentation.

I found in the documentation that Infinispan supports Write-Through and Write-Behind features.

Oracle Coherence supports Read-Through,Write-Through and Write-Behind.

Does this mean that Infinispan does not support the ReadThrough feature, or is it just not mentioned in the docs?

Hi Chris,

yes Infinispan performs the same trick as named "Read Through" in the Oracle Coherence documentation, and yes you're right it's not mentioned in the documentation as it is the "normal" behaviour: if you configure a CacheStore or a CacheLoader (there is no option to turn it off) it will always attempt to load it from the CacheStore/Loader (unless a specific Flag is enabled: see also https://docs.jboss.org/author/display/ISPN/Per-Invocation+Flags )
