1. Re: A script to shutdown JBoss, once and for all
wdfink Feb 15, 2013 12:18 PM (in response to laredotornado)If you have issues with GC, OOM Exceptions or use the debugger (and have stopped threads) it might possible that the server will not successful shutdown via management interface.

laredotornado Feb 15, 2013 1:39 PM (in response to wdfink)Maybe I should have been more specific in my question. Could someone provide a script to shutdown JBoss 7.1.1.FInal?
Thanks, - Dave

3. Re: A script to shutdown JBoss, once and for all
wdfink Feb 18, 2013 12:06 PM (in response to laredotornado)You use the correct command to shutdown a server via the CLI.
I recommend to not use some kind of automatic to kill a JBoss instance if it can not be shutdowned gracefully.
This is not a save method and need human intervention.

4. Re: A script to shutdown JBoss, once and for all
nickarls Feb 19, 2013 6:02 AM (in response to wdfink)Unix version save the PID in a file and a "kill -9" will most probably take care of the not-so-graceful shutdown
I guess something similar can be used in Windows, perhaps by using sysinternals tools for checking which process holds a lock to modules jar and calling pskill on that.
