JBoss Tools 2.* works with Eclipse 3.3.* only. Please use JBoss Tools 3.0.0.* for Eclipse 3.4.*
See http://jboss.org/community/docs/DOC-10044 for all the gory details and links. 3.0.0 is due next month, but is stable now. Requires Eclipse 3.4.2 (to get all the latest bugfixes), which came out this week.
Thanks, I was using jboss tools 2 with eclipse 3.4. I was having issues and now I probably know why.
Hi, guys need some assistance, will JBossTools-2.1.2.GA work with eclipse 3.2 . If it does please help me out in configuring , i've already downloeded the zip file for windows XP
You are using a 7 year old version of JBoss Tools witih an 8 year old version of Eclipse.
That is most likely not going to work.
Any reason why you don't use something *slightly* newer
You can see the jbosstools vs eclipse version at http://www.jboss.org/tools/download
Thank for ur reply Max Rydahl Andersen, I can't coz my company is stuck up wit this old Eclipse 3.2 with old JBOSS 4.2.3GA which both are very old and not willing to upgrade to newer versions
Okey - but fyi JBoss 4.2.3 also works with the newer versions of Eclipse/JBoss Tools.
So yes, for Eclipse 3.2 I think you need to look for using JBoss IDE (what was before Eclipse 3.2)
Correct me If i'm wrong. You are asking me to install JBoss IDE for Eclipse 3.2 ?
If yes may I know the JBoss IDE version which is compatible with my Eclipse.
Try the latest version you can find to download - its last release was around Eclipse 3.2.
btw. I assume you are also on Java 1.3 or 1.4 ?
See table of compatible versions here:
SPOILER ALERT, we don't have a version of JBoss Tools that runs with Eclipse 3.2, only 3.3 and newer. Soon we'll have one that runs with Eclipse 4.3. You should really consider something newer.
