    Status of lazy-loading of CMR?

    mozer

      Hi.

I was trying to get lazy-load working for a couple of relations, but couldn't get it working. A search in the forums revealed an old thread where Dain said it wasn't yet supported (as of JB3 alpha), and ended with someone asking whether it was implemented in JB3 rc1. So, what's the status on this in JB3 final, and if it's there, how do I enable it? I tried fiddling with my jbosscmp-jdbc.xml, but couldn't get it working.

It works fine. I suggest you get the JBossCMP documentation from FlashLine; it has a chapter on optimized loading.

I bought the JBoss CMP Workbook from Flashline quite a while ago, it says "November 19 2001" at the top. There is a section on loading in there, but I've had no luck following those instructions. Is that book up2date with 3.0 final now? And do I have to pay for the "book" again?

Also, is there a way of controlling the loading with XDoclet tags that you know of? I haven't found any in the 1.1.2 documentation.

              Thanks
              /Peter

The new JBossCMP documentation is up to date with JBoss 3.0 final. Free upgrades only come with the documentation subscriptions.
