I build my war:s with maven so I'm not sure but you need a way to put the jars on the classpath but so that they're not included in the war when built...

Hi Nicklas,

Did as you told took the j*.jars out from the lib folder but still i get the error.

Please let me know if the issue is with the higher version of j*.jars as described in the above blogs.

Actually I am having  application that uses JSF api's version 1.0 and now I am planning to run the same on JBoss AS 7.1

Solution that you told is fine but my application uses few classes that are depricated(e.g ListboxRenderer.java) in higher version of  jsf-*.jar.

And going through many sites I cam to know that the issue is with the duplication of api's.
