1. Re: RHQ and JBoss AS 7
pilhuhn Mar 3, 2013 9:19 AM (in response to mylos78)Hey,
you need to install the JBossAS7 plugin. The JBossAS plugin is for JBossAS 3/4, the JBossAS5 plugin for AS5.1+ and EAP5 and the AS7 plugin for JBossAS7 and EAP 6.

mylos78 Mar 4, 2013 4:08 AM (in response to pilhuhn)Hi Heiko!
thanks for your reply. Well I have actually installed the AS7 plugin and it's visible from my "Server plugins" view. Just it does not discover my running instances of JBoss AS7 nor it is able to detect a JBoss EAP 6. Do I need any -Djmx stuff to the startup of JBoss AS 7 ?
Thanks
Mylos

pilhuhn Mar 4, 2013 5:46 AM (in response to mylos78)So you have as7 and the agent on the same machine?
Can you output the ps auxw output for as7 please? Which exact version?
And then run "discovery" at the agents prompt (and discovery -f) and also show the output?
Did you diable the http management port in as7 ?
The as7 plugin does not talk via jmx to the server, but via that management port.

mazz Mar 4, 2013 8:22 AM (in response to mylos78)This might help: https://docs.jboss.org/author/display/RHQ/JBoss+AS+7.x+Product+Configuration#JBossAS7.xProductConfiguration-ConfiguringaManagementUser
Also, when you say this:
> "Well I have actually installed the AS7 plugin and it's visible from my "Server plugins" view."
I assume you mean visible in the "Agent plugins" view (Administration>(Topology)>Agent Plugins) - the AS7 plugin is not a server plugin. Its an agent plugin.
