caching the field data

I am using jboss-3.0.1RC1_tomcat-4.0.4 and I have several CMP2.0 beans
Is it possible to set the jboss container to cache the field values? (If yes how?)
I think you can do it by setting them to read-only but then you are not allowed to set them through your bean.

Change the commit option in the jboss.xml to A.
