How to load a class during server startup in JBOSS AS 7.1.1

Hi All,

I have a requirement to migrate an application from Weblogic to jboss. we are loading classes durings server startup.. is there anyway to load the classes during server startup in Jboss 7.1.1.

What exactly do you mean by loading classes?

JBoss AS 7.x does not have the explicit capability of defining startup and shutdown classes like WebLogic.

However, you could mimic the behavior by wrapping them in a subsystem as described in Extending JBoss AS 7.

Alternatively, if you describe what you're doing in your startup classes we may be able to suggest a JEE6 conformant way of doing the same thing, such as using @Startup on a @Singleton bean.
