How to use AutoNumber

Hi,
i am using jboss 3.0.0RC3 and mysql.
I am very confused about how to use autonumber and did not find much material on the net.

can anyone please tell me how to use the autonumber in jboss with CMP. In the autonumberfactory class docs i read that the autonumber EJB must be dployed. How to deploy this is there any change we have to do in conf files of is it deployed by default.

how do we generate the number from the entity bean.

can anyone please help
