Design and implementation is underway to change this - for more information on the new NoSQL mechanism that will be used to store metrics in the near future, see:

arun2arunraj Mar 13, 2013 9:23 AM (in response to mazz)Hi John,
Thanks for your link. It is simple and precise.
Now I understood Server side Data Storage Mechanism of RHQ. But This topic leads me to ask this question. Sorry, If I am annoying you. Please help me to understand RHQ.
What is the data storage mechanism used in Agent Side while collecting data from resources? ? ?. I understand, It just collects data from metrics. But My Question is If it collects data, It has to store those data until it delivers to the RHQ Server. Please clarrify my doubt ! ! !

You may have a look at MeasurementDataManagerUtility class. Checkout the source code: https://docs.jboss.org/author/display/RHQ/Building+RHQ#BuildingRHQ-CheckoutRHQSources

mazz Mar 15, 2013 8:57 AM (in response to tsegismont)You actually should not have to care at all about how the rotation algorithm is implemented. It "just works". Users should just provide the database, RHQ will create the schema and will manage those measurement tables under the covers with no user interaction or knowledge. So, I would not worry about it. Since you are new to RHQ, I would not bog down on these technical details that users don't need to know - concentrate on learning the GUI user interface.

Thanks for the class. It is exactly what I have asked. Thank you so much for this again. I have asked it to know, " How you guys have coded to store the measured values ? " Now I have undetstand it. Thanks a lot again.

Thanks for your guidance. I will take it up and push myself forward. I am not only new to RHQ and also to JAVA. That is why I have wanted to know the coding structure. And Thanks again for guiding me in the perfect path.
